Book Tag!

Okay, that right there pretty much describes my 'Creative Process' perfectly. Sad really...but there you have it.

Well, anyway, I know you guys are probably SICK of me talking about my books...but I just found this really amazing book tag and I would like to share it! :)

Okay...here goes...

What is the working title of your book?

Crisis...that's the third one's anyhow.

Where did the idea for the book come from?

Oooh, that's a tricky one. Well, I guess I would have to say that the idea for this book came last spring--while I was surfing the web. I was in the middle of writing another book when this idea hit me like a bolt of lightening. I couldn't get it out of my head! I wasn't exactly in love with it at first...but slowly the idea started to grow and before long I had the whole story plotted out!

What genre does your book fall under?

Yong Adult/Science Fiction

What actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Hmmm....let me think. I don't have all the characters...just a few...

Benedict Cumberbach would be the PERFECT Alan! :)

Geoffrey Rush would be good as Dag.

Saoirse Ronan would make a good Linnet!

But other than that I don't know. I haven't given it too much thought. Oh well...

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?

Oh crud monkeys....I'm not good at 'one sentence summaries'. Here goes....

Johanna's country is falling apart at the seems; with the war coming to a head...Johanna will be forced to choose between her cause and those she loves most.

So anyway, hope that sufficed.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

Interesting question...I haven't really figured that one out myself. I'd like to go with an agency...but I'm not sure how well that'd work out. Orginally this book was to be used as a stepping stone into self publishing. But now...now I'd like to have a crack at an agency. Maybe I'll send it in a few times and if that doesn't work out, I'll do self publishing. Either way, I'm praying that God will guide me in the right direction! :)

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

One month. Back in June I think it was.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I don't really know. I don't read much Science Fiction so I'm not sure. Also, I dont' like to base my books off of something else.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

Hmmm....a lot of things! My first inspiration came when I was just randomly surfing the Internet. After that I just slowly started to build the story. (I'm not giving any big details right now...sorry)

My friend Hannah also inspired me.
Not only was she the one who started me reading Young Adult and Science Fiction novels, but the bare boned basics of my character Johanna were actually traits my dear friend has. Of course...I've added things to Johanna to make her her own unique person--but at her core, my friend Hannah was her inspiration! Thanks a HEAP Hannah! :)

Also, Jamie inspired me! She encouraged me to try NaNoWriMo which helped finish the trilogy! Thanks so much to my fellow writer! :D

What else about this book might pique the reader's interest?

Oh my...

This is the story of a girl whose loyalty to her cause and beliefs takes her to the ultimate limit. You'll rally for the characters as they push towards their goal of renouncing their cruel opponent! This is the story of war. And no one makes it out unscathed. But this is also a story of healing, and bravery. A story of countless men and women who are forced to make the ultimate choice.
How far will you go for your beliefs.

I wish I could give more...but I'm a very protective author. So no sneak peeks. But I hope that you allw will continue to follow my progress and will--maybe someday--pick up a copy of my book! :)

But now, ON TO THE TAGGING!

Let's see....I think I'll tag...

And anyone else who wants to try it! :D

Well, it's time for me to go! Thanks so much for letting me pick your ear for a few minutes!

Your ever busy and happy blogger,

Congrats on finishing you trilogy. :) I love science fiction so I will definitely read your book when it gets published.
I've had some experience sending books to a publisher, so I'd be happy to help you with what to do with a publishing company and what to send them. :)
