Hey, I Won! :D

Hey, I was just going to pop in and say that I made it! I won! I flew in by the seat of my pants but I managed! WOOF! What a workout! 0_0

I can hardly believe that I manged to finish! I've been working around the clock for two weeks trying to get this puppy done and AHHH! SO MUCH WORK!

But...I made it!

My final word count was 53,376. *Sigh* I'm tired! The book ended up having seventy six chapters and fourteen of those I want to revise and or add to. So yea...the book's going to get longer.

But on a not so happy note...I've finished my trilogy. I know I should be happy (and I am) but I'm sad to finish this one. But I keep telling myself that this is in no way shape or form done. I've still got to revise the first book some more! So this series isn't over yet!

But before I do the revising...I think I will take a break. Maybe I'll work on another story--or maybe I'll just relax and enjoy the holidays! I don't know. Either way, I'll figure it out!

But I just wanted to let you know that I made it and to congratulate all those who won NaWrMo! You guys did awesome! I hope to see you all next year for the next NaWrMo!

But until then, this has been your happy and tired blogger,

Rebecca

I Had a Photoshoot! :D

Well hello, to my lovely bloggers on this fine, crisp winter day! :D
How is everyone? Cold?! I bet! There was a freeze last night that WE DIDN'T know about and now all are plants have been frozen! Though, they may still survive. Let's hope! :D

But winter is trying it's best to set in here in the little town I call Mayberry (don't look at me like that, my aunt started it!). We've already had a fire in the fire place a few times and chopped wood for more fires! Ahhh, hot coco and apple cider here I come!

It was really cold yesterday, though the weather man assured us it would be in the 7Os. He lies! LOL!
Truth is it was cold and cloudy--but that didn't stop us from having an amazing day!

You see, yesterday, Mrs. Gaskill invited me to go on a photo shoot with her, Mr. King and this really sweet lady named Mrs. Sandy! :D I was THRILLED! :D *Does a happy dance!*

I know I have said this before, but I LOVE it when Mrs. Gaskill let's me model for her! It's SO much fun! I'm afraid I don't have any pics to show you guys just yet, but here are a few I took with an SD card that Mr. King very graciously let me borrow since I'd left mine at home. *Face palm*

This time we got to go to this beautiful park not too far from Mayberry! As you can see from the picture below, the clouds did move away around three o'clock or so.

We had SO much fun up there! I wish I had better pictures so I could show you the real beauty of the place! That's Mrs. Sandy in the water followed by Mrs. Gaskill and Mr. King.

We got to the park around twelve and stayed there until four thirty! WOW! It was amazing!

No one was at the park, which figures seeing how it's winter and no one really wants to go swimming in 50 degree weather! But, the setting and lighting were PERFECT for a photo shoot.

As Mr. King and Mrs. Johnnie explained, sunlight isn't always good for shoots because it isnt' a dependable light source and causes a lot of dark shadows. But the clouds helped to keep the light steady and really made the colors pop! :D

There were also some really awesome rocks near a bend in the river. And, since the river was really REALLY low, due to the lack of rain, we were able to get to them and take some pictures.

In one of the pictures Mr. King had me climb up on top of the rocks. It was actually really easy to get to them--since I went around, up and then down. But once I got out on them I was like 'AAAHHH!'

Seriously, it was really high! I took a picture ^ but it isn't very good. The rocks were in angled layers and so it doesn't look very high...but trust me it was. I'm not exactly sure how high I was...but I was at least twelve feet and for someone who hates heights--that was high enough!

Here I am on my way up from the ledge. Yea, scary.

Here's a picture of the river from the look out point that was up on the mountain! Again, I wish I had a better picture...but this will do for now! :)

It was really fun, getting to spend some time with Mrs. Johnnie and Mr. King! I hadn't gotten to model for Mr. King since the first time I modeled for Mrs. Johnnie. (That was back when I had REALLY short hair!) It was also wonderful to meet Mrs. Sandy! She was so sweet!

But, overall, I had a wonderful time! Mrs. Johnnie and Mrs. Sandy were SO sweet and Mr. King was REALLY funny! :D I was sad when it was finally time to pack up and go home!

But, it won't be long before I get to do another photo shoot with Mrs. Johnnie! :D

This Sunday, after church, Mrs. Johnnie and I are going over to a local college to meet up with a girl named Madeline for another shoot! :D YAY!! I can't wait! :D

But as for right now, I've got to get ready for the day and get back to work on my NaWrMo story! Can you believe it's going to be over in TWO DAYS! AAAHHHH! I've got to get busy!

But before I do go, please pray for my mom. She's caught a nasty cold and isn't feeling too good! So just keep her in your prayers! Thanks! :D

So until next time!

Pink - Try (Lyrics)

Listening to this as I write! :D Loving it! :D

Come Back

Hi guys! Well, I won't use the excuse that I was busy...I use that one too much as it is. But all the same, I have been busy. Just in the past two weeks I've had a photo shoot, orientation at college, a shopping trip, TWO Thanksgivings AND most of my family caught colds! So yea, busy busy.

That also accounts for why I got behind on my novel. But, fortunately, I've managed to peck out 30,000 words so far and I'm still going! Sadly, I'm not feeling very productive today. Actually, I feel kinda tired. Maybe I've had too much turkey and good food! LOL! Oh well, I've been really burning up the keyboard these past few days! :D And I've managed to get out a VERY long chapter just today. Right now I'm only a few fleeting chapters away from Part Two in the last part of my trilogy. This will be my sixth completed manuscript this year! WOWZA!! :D *Does a happy dance*

I've enjoyed reading about you guys and your NaWrMo projects! :D I can't wait to hear about the end results! :D :D I know that Jamie and Grace are doing really well! WAY TO GO GIRLS!! :D

My book may only get to 40,000 this time--but hey, that's great! :D I'm really enjoying the process! Every morning I look forward to writing and I just can't wait to finish my chores so I can do so! :D

The story is going along pretty well. I mean, it's no great work but I keep telling myself that it doesn't have to be! I can edit it later! As the old saying goes: "It's okay if you write garbage...just so long as you edit brilliantly!".

In that case, let's hope I can edit really well! :D

But anyway, I think I'll start a new book in December! :D Not related to this one...but maybe part of a whole NEW series. I just want a little break from this one. Having breaks is really good for you. I mean, you don't want to stop writing entirely (I've done that for a whole year and let me tell you, it sucks!) but at the same time you don't want to get burned out!

I've been thinking of a fantasy story for a while--plus a romance. OOH! It's going to be hard to decide between the two! :D

Oh, and speaking of December, have you guys noticed my blog's new look?! I LOVE IT! I found all that neat stuff and I just HAD to have it! :D If you want to get some cool stuff too, just go to The Cutest Blog on the Block! They'll show you how to get all that awesome stuff! :D My sister really loves Santa at the top of my header! :D HO HO HO!

I can hardly believe that December is nearly here! I mean WOW! November just FLEW by! Now it's time for Christmas music and Christmas trees! YAY!!! I've already tuned my radio to a local Christmas station and I'm enjoying the sounds of the season! :D

My list isn't very long this year. I've only got a few select things I want. But I won't bore you with that.

I've gotten over half of my Christmas shopping done! Today I found a really awesome gift for my friend Hannah--I hope she will like it!! I've still got to find stuff for my sister, my brother and my friend Jessie. After that I'm done! :D

My friends Jacob and James are going to have their birthdays really soon too! :D James is going to be 18 WOW!! And Jacob is going to be 16!! 0_0 I can remember when we were all so little! Now look, we're getting OLD! LOL! But stay tuned for some Happy Birthday Wishes for my friends Jacob and James at JandJproductions! :D

But I guess I'd better go. I want to take a nap before I get back to work on my story! Ahhh, it's the time of year when you can curl up with a warm and cuddly cat while a fire roars in the fireplace. Though in my case, the 'cuddly' part of the cat should probably be left out. I'm going to be attempting to take a nap with my cat C.C. aka the devil. She's not mean per say--it's just she likes to sneak up on you and bite you. Oh well, maybe I won't need stitches. ;)

Anyway, I guess I should go! So until next time!

A BIG Day Today!

Well, hi there! :D

Sorry it's been so long! This past week has been SO hectic I've barely had time for anything! 0_0

But enough about that, I've got some BIG news! Well, I can't actually tell you about it just yet--but it's happening TODAY! :D

You know that 'big surprise' I said was coming? Well, this is it--or part of it. :D I'm so excited! :D I was totally stunning news this past Monday and I can't WAIT to share it with you! However, you'll just have to wait until Saturday or Sunday to find out about it. Yea, there's a slight delay but don't worry! I'll post about it as soon as I can! :D

But as for right now, I've GOT to get ready!

So until next time!

Your very excited blogger,
Rebecca

National Writer's Month

OOOOOHHH!!! I'm so excited! :D At last it's time for National Writer's Month! YAY!!

What is National Writer's Month? Well, to sum it up in one sentence--it's where all we writers try to write a 50,000 word novel in one month! Sound's fun doesn't it?! :)

I myself have never done National Writer's Month before--EVER! But this year I decided to give it a go. Of course I can't take all the credit for that decision--my awesome friends Jamie and Gracie/Fallon, along with many others, inspired me to try NaWrMo (Is that the way you abbreviate it?). So here I am--loaded up on caffeine with very little sleep and ready to roll! :D

I'll be drinking a LOT of this while I'm writing. Yea, I don't know what I would do without caffeine!! ;)

It took me a long while to decide what novel I would be writing--since I had at least three ideas floating around in my head. But finally I decided on writing the last book in my trilogy. I was going to write another book--a fantasy book--but I just couldn't get the plot sorted out in time. Literally, I had like THREE days! I got pretty far--I just don't know where I want to go with it; anybody other than me ever been there? Yea, I thought so. :)

The other idea I had was going to be more like a novella--not a full novel. But I decided that since this was my first NaWiMo I shouldn't cheat. So I'm shooting for a full 50,000 word novel. :D Wish me luck! :D

So I decided on writing the final installment in my trilogy that I've been working on! This will make three books in one year (if I finish!)--unless of course you count that book I worked on this past spring and finished--that'd make four! :) Of course, they are all pretty rough and I don't think I'll be publishing any of them immediately--but hey, I'm working on it. I'm shooting right now for 2014 or 2015 with my trilogy. And when I say that I mean that I want to start sending it to publishers--doesn't mean it will be published. But there again, who knows! :D

I still intend, of course, to write my fantasy novel (I've been in love with that one since I first started writing) but I'm completely revising the plot and characters so it will just have to sit on the shelf. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day! :D

I'm actually a little disappointed that I didn't get the plot sorted out in time--but this way I have more time to mull over it and finish my trilogy! :D All the same, I really love the story--that fantasy novel was the first book I ever finished! :D I was fourteen when I started it! Four years ago! :) So, as you can imagine, I want to change the plot now.

I'll write it someday--like maybe next summer--but for now I'm going to finish my trilogy! I'm thinking of posting and excerpt from my first book that I've edited--not sure though. I like to get feedback on my writing, but I don't know if I want to bore y'all with it! :)

But anyway, now it's time for Book Three! :D

I'm so excited! I can't wait to start and tell you guys all about what's going! :D

I'd also like to know if anybody else is doing NaWrMo! I know at least three people who are doing it. So if you're doing it, let me know! I'm making a special blog list for NaWrMo so I can here about your projects! :D I love to meet other authors and hear about their work! Everyone has such interesting and different ideas! :D So if you are doing the NaWrMo, let me know and I'll put your blog address on my special blog list so I can see how your doing and hear about your projects! :D

So, I guess that's it then. It's time for me to get to work on the last novel in my trilogy! :D

I'd like to take this time, however, to express my extreme gratitude to all of you! You've been amazing! I appreciate your words of encouragement! You've all been so awesome! Thank you SO much for your feedback on Split Second and all your advice on writing! It's really helped my writing and I'm SO happy that you all are willing to help and give your opinions! :D It's been really REALLY helpful to me! :D

Thanks SO much! :D

Well, I've really got to get busy now. So until next time!

This is your excited and busy blogger,

Rebecca
