Plot: The following plot summery is copied from Wikipedia.com.
In 1981, Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) sits at a bus stop in Savannah, Georgia, telling his life story to strangers nearby. His tale starts about the childhood braces he wore around both of his legs. At Forrest's home, he meets Elvis Presley, who he teaches a dance move to, which Presley later displays at a concert shown on a television. On his first day of school, Forrest meets a girl named Jenny Curran (Robin Wright), with whom he immediately falls in love and whose life is followed parallel to his. Despite his below average intelligence quotient (IQ), his ability to run very fast gets him on the University of Alabama football team. He ultimately becomes an All-American and meets President John F. Kennedy. While attending college he witnesses George Wallace's attempt to prevent integration at the school.
After graduation, Forrest enlists in the Army. He makes friends with Benjamin Buford Blue, nicknamed Bubba (Mykelti Williamson), who convinces him to be his partner in the shrimping business when the Vietnam War is over. In 1967, he and Bubba are sent to Vietnam, and after several months of patrolling with the 9th Infantry Division, their platoon is ambushed. Forrest is shot in the buttocks but rescues many of the men in his unit, although Bubba is fatally wounded and dies. Lt. Dan Taylor (Gary Sinise), the platoon's commanding officer, is also seriously wounded and loses both legs. He chastises Forrest for saving him, insisting that he would rather have died honorably on the battlefield than become a cripple. Watch the movie to see what happens next.

Plot: 8.7/10- The plot is very original and is nothing like anything I have seen before.

Action: N/A

Acting: 8.7/10- Tom Hanks performance was top notch and the other cast members were also very good.

Special effects: 8.5/10- way that the movie uses real historical film and puts Forrest Gump is them was amazing you have to see it to understand what I am talking about.

Soundtrack: 8.8/10- The soundtrack its self was very good but the licensed music used in it was fantastic.

Comedy: 8.9/10- I am rating the comedy compared to other movies that are not all comedy. There were few memorable and hilarious moments and quotes.

Overall: 8.5/10- Remember that the score for the movie is relative to other dramas and not action movies. Overall Forrest Gump is one of the few movie that liked that was not an action movie or a comedy.

Closing comments: Forrest Gump is a movie that everyone who are old enough to watch the movie should watch it.
